Local charities have a massive impact on the lives of communities. Such is the case of Newbury Soup Kitchen. This non-profit extends a welcoming hand to the homeless, the rough sleeper community, and anyone in need. Given our continued collaboration and firsthand experience with their meaningful initiatives, it's unsurprising that it has emerged as the top choice among employee nominations for Charity of the Year. We are delighted to announce that, for the second consecutive year, Newbury Soup Kitchen is our designated Charity of the Year.
Newbury Soup Kitchen is a non-profit organisation that assists and supports the homeless, rough sleeper community, vulnerable, and those who are less fortunate than others.
Our teams in France and Portugal will engage with local charities to support vulnerable families or institutions.
Charity work holds great significance for Lifecycle as it aligns with one of our core corporate values: family and friendship. Lifecycle does not just provide funding for its charity; Lifecycle plans an entire year of events to raise funds and awareness for the chosen charity. It is critical to involve all employees in activities ranging from marathons and virtual races to raffles and challenges.
In 2023, we raised over 3 thousand pounds for the year's charity, Newbury Soup Kitchen. We held quiz nights, cake sales, a half marathon and a canal walk. We have engaged directly with Newbury's Soup Kitchen volunteers. We had fun, helped people, and learned how to overcome adversity in life.
We are excited to continue supporting causes and giving back to the community!
